My new little model!

Meet Miss B, my new little model! She's a precious little princess that came over to help me this week. She and our other Miss B are quite a pair indeed. She's so spunky and fun...and a real joy to be around. Thanks oodles, sweet girls!

Good Neighbors

We live on the outskirts of town...not too far out, but enough to feel like we are in the country. Just east of us are the sweetest neighbors anyone could ask for. They are the kind that always offer an friendly wave and are willing to lend a helping hand, if needed. Mr. Y started driving his tractor over to our long graveled drive not long after we moved there over six years ago. He drags it off so we have a smooth ride on our way in and out. We get a lot of rain in Oklahoma and our drive washes in to large ruts and running rivers easily, so we are so grateful for what he does. Last winter I heard him outside and there he was clearing the snow so we could get out. Not only in our drive, but in all the neighbors around us.

Last week, I call Mrs. Y to ask if Miss B and I could come over and take pictures at their place. They have the best fences, and old truck, a pond, tree swing and more...just perfect backdrops for outdoor photography. We were welcomed with opened arms, just what I expected. As we finished up the pictures, out came Mr. Y with a plastic container of fish food. He invited Miss B to come and feed the fish in the pond. She stood right by him as he told her all about the fish and turtles in his pond and she drank in all he had to say. He made sure we knew we were welcome back over anytime. I wish everyone had the opportunity to live by Mr. and Mrs. Y. They are truly the epitomy of what neighbors should be.

Happy Birthday, Dr Seuss!

Who doesn't love The Cat in the Hat? I've loved reading Dr. Seuss books for as long as I can remember. Who can resist his sing-song silliness and crazy characters? He's an icon in the world of literature.
Today I got to read Green Eggs and Ham to Miss B's first grade class. I'm not sure who had more fun...me or the class. I love the story and can almost say it all without looking at the words.
Thanks, Dr. Seuss for making so many kids smile for so many years!

You can take a peek at my auction here.

Oh, for PEEPS SAKE!!!

My Sugar3 group is having a fun little Easter launch that we're calling, 'For Peep's Sake'. There are so many precious little sets listed...I took a peek tonight and saw so many sweet, sweet things! If you'd like to take a peek, just click right here.
I've got a darling little set listed today. It's the fabulous FELIZ designed by Nancy of Studio Tantrum and available from Farbenmix.
I love putting a little personality in what I make. As I'm sewing, I like to imagine who might be wearing it and how they might feel in it. I hope the sweet little one that wears this is pleased with what her momma buys for her.

100th Day of School!

The 100th day of school is an important event in the life of a first grader. When I picked up Miss B from school one day last week, she explained to me about their celebration so we decided it was a great time to make fun little set for that day. She and I dug through all the little flowers and doo dads and carefully counted out 100 little bits to add to her shirt. I had just enough of this darling number fabric to make a flippy little skirt, also! It's funny how you get these crazy ideas and think that it will just take a few hours, but I still think it was worth staying up until 2 a.m.!

Happy Birthday, Riley!

Today our youngest daughter turns 21. She's the kind of daughter every mom would want...gentle, caring, and the sweetest heart. I thought maybe I would share a few pics of her in some clothes that I made for her when she was a wee little thing. I really enjoyed looking through pics today and reminiscing about the hours of smocking and sewing I did for my three precious daughters over the past 28 years.

Many treasures in my attic and in my heart.

Pippi Is Here!

I've been wanting to do this set for so long! Finally it is finished and listed. When I was first thinking of making it, I told Miss B about Pippi and we went to the library to borrow the movie. She thought she was hilarious and watched it several times. If you haven't watched in a long time, like me, you must! It's still the same silliness I remember from years ago.

I think B's a little Pippi looking with her sun-kissed, freckled face and tint of red hair.

You can find my set right here.

Some sweet friends joined with me and added the sweetest bows, jewelry and painted tote! You can find all of their listings here.

A Sailor Luau

This was one fun collaboration! Several of us teamed up together for ATeam's Rock-A-Luau launch and put together some pieces I know you will love looking at! Thanks to Lisa (LyndsayLeila) for inviting me! I had a great time working with you and this sweet group of ladies! You can find so many darling sets and pieces to these sets here....boys overall, patchwork capri set, bows, necklace, hair cookies, backpack and even a matching dress for her American Girl doll!

If you're searching for my set you can find it here. It's a sweet three piece set with a dress, top and leggings. It would be perfect for 4th of July!

I Met Tracy!!!

This past week, I had the pleasure of meeting my sweet friend, Tracy (pbj*creations) We had so much fun together and the kiddos were instant friends. We took pictures...(well, Tracy did since I forgot my card AGAIN!) and talked as fast as we could for the short time we were together. Tracy knew the perfect photo spot for our sailor themed sets. Don't you love the lighthouse???
It was so much easier for the kids to take pics with friends close by. They were so silly and did some crazy posing!
Tracy's Mr. B is modeling her set that you can see
here.
Her niece, Miss M is modeling for our friend, Lisa (LyndsayLeila). You can see her darling little set here.
The applique's for our sets are from the talented Traci (leeziebee). You can find here here and here.
